Santa and the Unicorn
Regarding the idea of intelligent design vs spontaneous
assembly. The most simple living organism ever found is mycoplasma genitalium. This
cell is still so complex that it is millions of times more organized and intricately
assembled than the most complex super computer. The only thing more complicated
than a super computer is a super computer that had the capacity to evolve into OTHER
supercomputers…. (a chair is cool… but what about a chair that can change into
a CAR?!) So although it is very popular and a lot of people are really
motivated to not believe in God—(perhaps partially because they are only really
exposed to the “psycho-God” idea), I think that it is by FAR inferior theory to
reasonable ideas presented about the Creator (such as Spinoza presented).
I consider the spontaneous assembly of supercomputer that has the ability to transform into other super computers to be an inferior theory to the intelligent design of a super computer that has the ability to evolve into other super computers.

The Santa reference is actually perfect (Unicorns also
work). The reason this reference is perfect for the point that I am trying to
make, is that Santa Claus does (did) exist. Saint Nicholas Claus was a real
person who gave gifts to people. But then people added to it and made it
ridiculous. Similarly I think God also exists, but then people added to it and
made it ridiculous. My evidence for Saint Nicholas Claus is that people give an
(imperfect) accounting of him in history, also it seems very reasonable and logical
that a human at some point in our history would be very giving and be celebrated
for it. My evidence of God existing is that people give an (imperfect) accounting
of the Creator in History—in ALL of history, in nearly EVERY continent, in
nearly EVERY culture, in nearly EVERY age of human history. Furthermore, it is
logical to me that supercomputers typically do not assemble themselves…. They could….
I mean its possible, but just really improbable—ESPECIALLY in light of MASSES
of overwhelming records of people all over the world through all of time giving
witness to the Creator (that are all jumbled like santa).
Unicorns also exist—they are the rhinoceros, but its been
all messed up. So also, I believe that the Creator exists… but its been all
messed up like santa and the unicorn.
